Paestum, located south of the Gulf of Salerno, is among the tourist destinations in Campania most admired and known by Italian and foreign tourists, one of the main archaeological sites in Europe and the world. An ideal place to spend holidays dedicated to culture and art, the sea and gastronomy.

Living in Paestum means enjoying one of the most enchanting landscapes in the South thanks to the presence of the sea, of extensive beaches made up of thin, clear sand, but also of a naturalistic scenario made even more fascinating by the typical vegetation of the Mediterranean scrub. Getting to know Paestum, the ancient Poseidonia, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, means embarking on a fascinating journey through history and art, immersing yourself in the evocative atmospheres of the ancient Greek and Roman cultures.

A journey that begins from the Archaeological Area admiring the grandeur of the three Doric temples, the Temple of Hera, the Temple of Athena and the Temple of Poseidon, located in the sacred area, in the center of the town of Paestum, splendid examples of Greek archeology comparable in beauty only to the Parthenon in Athens.

The Cilento coast begins from Agropoli and ends in Sapri, with a very varied seaside offer. The sea on the Cilento coast is characterized by the continuous succession of stretches of coast that can only be reached by sea, interspersed with sandy and easy-to-access beaches. From the characteristic village of Agropoli, passing through Santa Maria di Castellabate, Ascea, Pioppi, Acciaroli, without forgetting the splendid Punta Licosa, one of the first marine parks in Italy, a destination for underwater excursionists and all lovers of the uncontaminated nature of the National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano.

Until you reach Palinuro, which is characterized by beautiful beaches and a coast full of ravines and sea caves. The Cilento hinterland deserves a separate mention, in particular the vast area of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park. A natural environment still intact and uncontaminated, characterized by hills, rivers, paths: an ideal place for lovers of outdoor walks and trekking.

The Cilento National Park is also speleology, with the splendid sites of the Castelcivita Caves and the Angel Caves in Pertosa.

Tunnels, tunnels, immense caves: an atmosphere that makes them unique in the world, a true enchantment for the beauty and shapes of the stalactites and stalagmites, fascinating examples of the imagination and magic of nature. Sea, nature, food and wine, but also lots of history and art.

Cilento is in fact the headquartersof two important archaeological sites: the archaeological excavations of Velia, with the renowned Porta Rosa, and those of Ancient Volcei in the Buccino district. But the beauties of Cilento do not end here: the Cilento area is in fact home to numerous testimonies of the Christian cult of its inhabitants.

The most renowned and well-known in the world is undoubtedly the Certosa di San Lorenzo in Padula, the largest monastic monument in southern Italy, where it is possible to visit, all year round, not only the splendid garden, but the immense and grandiose complex, with cloisters, altars and monks' quarters.
